The Sewell Mountain Sailing Association exists to:

• Encourage the sport of sailing and racing

• Promote the science of seamanship and navigation

• Foster and encourage social fellowship among members of this and similar associations

• Operate as a charitable association

To that end, we are registered in West Virginia as a non-profit corporation and acknowledged by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service as a public charity under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our by-laws are available here.
